How to Learn Tigrinya
The fastest way to learn Tigrinya is to learn the Fidäl alphabet first, build core vocabulary, study basic grammar, and practice speaking daily with real conversations — ideally through structured lessons rather than random resources.
1. Start with the Fidäl alphabet
Tigrinya is written in the Ge’ez script, known as Fidäl. Learning the base consonant shapes and how each of the seven vowel orders changes them makes everything after this easier — reading, spelling and pronunciation.
